In the global era, it seems obvious that many people go abroad or study abroad to explore new world.
In Korea, almost every students who want to go to college stick on the class and seldom get experience of explore outside world. In this regard, many students want to go travel before enter the college. However, in my opinion, one year off from home, expecially at young age is not a good idea since young age student should more focus on thier study and they cannot afford the long-term journey.
First of all, the young should more focus on thier study, not travel. In other words, there will be more chance for them to explore new world after entering the college. Since after the high school study, they need to keep on the track of cultivating and developing thier knowlege. In addition, if they spent thier valuable time on traveling around the world for a year, their knowledge would be rust after travel. Even if they could get life experince in the journey, but they have to give up thier long lasting investment, long-term study for the past few years. It would be waste of time and energy. Therefore, they should keep on track on and focus on study.
Moreover, high school students cannot afford that long journey. Since they were in school and no experience of working, they need to ask their parents to get travel money. It is not only lack of independable, but also burden for thier parents. They do not rely on their parents since they alreay in adult. Also, after entering the college, they can go to travel with money which they made themselves. In this sense, the young should be independable.
In conclusion, I don't supprt the idea that after graduating high school, students go travel for a year before entering the college. Since they have to focus on thier study as well as cannot pay for thier long-term journey. Even if exploring new worlds and getting various chances make them more proliferate in life, they could get chance more stabel after college entering on thier own. |
