The reading passage argues that there are many possible roles that crests of Lambeosaurus may have played. On the other hand, the lecturer claims that none of them matched to what we know about Lambeosaurus.
First, the lecturer contends that the crests might not be quite useful when Lambeosaurus tried to find its mate. She mentions that many dinosaurs used their behavior or sound, not their appearance, to attract mates. For example, some kinds of dinosaurs moved their heads back and forth or sounded low, growling noises when they attracted mates, and Lambeosaurus might have used similar methods which could be applied to Lambeosaurus. This contradicts the reading passage’s argument that the crests helped Lambeosaurus find their mates to find the mates.
Next, the lecturer asserts that it is less likely for Lambeosaurus to use their crests to fight with others Lambeosaurus did not use crests to fight. According to fossil evidence, the crests of Lambeosaurus were extended backward. If they used their crests to attack others, the crests should have been extended forward. Moreover, unlike to the crests of Triceratops, the crests of Lambeosaurus were hollow, and therefore might be too fragile to protect the creatures in which it was too fragile to protect the crests. This casts doubt on the reading passage’s claim that the crests were used for combat.
Finally, the lecturer argues that the crests could not provide enough air to Lambeosaurus. She mentions that the size of the crest was too small, compared to that of the dinosaur itself in comparison to the dinosaur. Therefore, the crests could not contain enough air for Lambeosaurus to keep its head underwater for a significant time. This counters the reading passage’s assertion that the crests was were (crests는 복수 주어 입니다) used to supply air while Lambeosaurus held its head underwater to eat aquatic plants.
점수: 25 물론 해커스에서는 리딩에 대한 부분을 조금만 써도 된다라고 보여지는데 지금 이 에세이 같은 경우에 있어서는 리스닝에 비교해서 너무 리딩에 대한 정보가 적습니다. 통합형 에세이 자체가 한 주제에 대하여서 리딩과 리스닝이 어떻게 비교하는 지를 보는 것 이기 때문에. 리스닝에 너무 중점을 두다 보면 리딩에 대한 정보를 확실하게 전달할 수 없기 때문에 좀 더 리딩에 대한 정보를 더 서술하는 것이 점수를 올리는데에 있어 더 효과 적입니다. |

혹시 첨삭 말고도 한 가지 더 질문드릴 것이 있는데...제가 17년도에 해커스에서 토플 강의를 들었을 때는
라이팅 통합형은 리딩보다 리스닝 내용을 더 중점적으로 적어야 한다고 들었고
실제로도 리딩 내용은 문단마다 마지막 한 줄씩만 적었었는데
여기서 첨삭을 받을 때는 리딩과 리스닝을 5:5로 맞춰야 한다고 하시더라구요.
그 동안 ETS의 채점 기준이 바뀐 것인지 궁금합니다.
그리고 보통 통합형 에세이는 몇 자 정도가 적당한가요?
지금도 250자를 넘는데 여기서 리딩 내용을 더 적는다면
20분을 맞추지 못할 것 같아서 걱정입니다.
