The most effective way for the government to conserve energy is to increase the price of gasoline and electricity. Agree/Disagree? |
These days, the scarcity of various resources is causing enormous problems and many experts try to find out how to save energy. Some people assert that to ascend the cost of gasoline and electricity owing to the fact that people try to save their expenses. However, I am at odds with this opinion because the conservation of resources is related with the amount of its uses, and there are some vital resources such as gasoline and electricity. On the first place, the main cause of energy consume is how much energy has been consumed. Because resource is limited by its quantity, the price of resource goes naturally when resource becomes insufficient. No sooner do all human try to decrease the use of electricity and gasoline than the price of resource also descend on account of the fact that the demand of them has been decreased. For instance, in Korea, the reputation of Korea was quite contaminated and over-consuming resources. However, the campaign of conserving energy encouraged people to use transportation rather than their cars. In addition, they also turn off the unnecessary apparatus. Those activities drastically save the large amount of energy. For last but not least, the significance of gasoline and electricity is remarkable, thus even if government increases the price of gasoline and electricity, people will equally use gasoline and electricity. Furthermore, the high price of gasoline and electricity is very harmful to factories and companies. As a result of it, the economy of nation can be influenced. For example, we use gasoline and electricity in all spheres of our life from wire to computer. Moreover, big companies and factories require tremendous amount of these resources. Provided that companies and factories pay skyrocketing fee for these resources, no sooner will companies and factories manufacture products than they worry about the economical damages that they has to be overcame. |
