Essay 1. People attend college or university for many different reasons. Do you think people should attend college or university to succeed? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. |
It is debatable whether people should go to college or university for social success. Some people believe that people should attend college or university to succeed because they believe that it could help them to easily get jobs with higher income. However, I disagree with the idea that people should go to university to succeed and earn money. I strongly believe that it is unnecessary to go to university for a job and money because there are many ways to get occupations and become wealthy. Besides, people can learn about professional skill of their field in many other places such as workplaces. Of course, people can learn professional skill in college and university, however, there are many ways to get vocations and learn skillful capacity. First, people can get jobs in other workplace by learning professional skill. For example, computer programmer can learn the skill in his workplace through the superiors and companions. It is true that educational institute promote the people’s capacity but it is limited. Accordingly, we can learn the important skills in workplace. Second, we can learn professional skills alone by self-education. This is important because most of the successful people make constant efforts to succeed more. For example, Bill gates did not learn the professional skill in college or university. It is a result of desperate efforts for desire of success. For these reasons, he have become the richest man of the world. In conclusion, I do not agree with author that people should attend college or university for success. It is more important that personal effort to grow their skills and invent ideas. |
