Which do you agree with? - Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. - |
As the society is becoming more competitive, adults force their young children to study hard to keep steps with this social trend. Some might support this idea saying that the more kids learn academic knowledge, the more they will benefit from it in the future. While it is true, in my opinion, youngsters should be allowed to concentrate on playing rather than studying because playing enables them to enjoy healthy life and ensures positive socializing with friends. It also provides valuable childhood memory to kids. More than anything else, children are able to keep fit. While they are playing sports such as soccer, baseball and basketball, they can strengthen their body, which helps them to live healthy life. It is commonly accepted by scientists that most of the human body parts start developing substantially at an early age. This is usually called 'a critical period', and children have to exercise as much as possible in order to have strong external body and internal organs. In this respect, the young must be encouraged to play and work out for physical health. In addition, playing such as sports enables children to socialize with others. While they do many games with friends, they can develop social skills and learn how to harmony with others. This is very important quality for a person, because it is directly related to one's success in the future. For example, when I was young, my parents allowed me to mingle with many friends. From activities with them, I could learn how to cooperate, deal with people, and get along with others. Now, those experiences and lessons help me to work well in my job position, manager. Judging from personal experience, it is clear that playing is very advantageous for children in improving social skills, which is crucial factor for their successful future career. Finally, playing provides youngers with unforgettable memories. While they are spending their childhood with their friends, they get a great number of beautiful memories. My friends and I share many old-day memories such as traveling around the country, fishing, mountain climbing, and playing basketball together. Everytime we get together, we talk about those memories and can have a happy time. In this sense, it seems obvious that childhood memories while playing is a property that a person will cherish throughout his life. To sum up, I firmly argue that children should be allowed to play rather than to study for the reasons of health, social skill, and cherishable memories. Contrary to the people who support the idea of focusing on children's studying, playing has numerous advantages, and those benefits surely guarantee children's better life. All in all, nothing can be more important than physical health, social network, and priceless childhood memories. |
