It is often said that games always show negative aspects of life to people. Some people might support this idea saying that there are many people who kill themselves after losing a great amount of money at "house." In opposition to this point, I strongly believe that playing games is very advantageous for people because it teaches us importance of keeping laws and planning our lives. Additionally, it also emphasizes cooperation between players.
More than anything else, we can learn the significance of social regulations while playing games. As this society is often likened to very complex organism, which needs laws, orders, and norms in order to keep its sustainability, knowing many rules while playing games would benefit us when we are in the real world. For example, many scientists today are focusing on the role of games, which helps children develop social orders. Since teaching at school is not enough for children to be fully aware of the importance of social norms, encouraging them to play as many games as possible is highly recommended by many researchers. This fact clearly indicates that games are very helpful for people to establish the basic laws of society.
Next, we can also learn how to make a plan to obtain our goals. All the games require people to plan scrupulously to reach their ultimate victory. Because we are living in an competitive world, it is undeniable that we have to equiped with a great life plan in order to be more successful. For instance, when I played board game, "Axis and Allies" with my friend, we carefully thought what we had to do at next turn; attack or defense. This whole process made me thoughtful, and thus now I have my distinct life plan and perform many activities according to it. This carefully made plan for life enables me to do well many tasks I face during my life.
Finally, playing games often strengthens feelings of cooperation between players. While playing a variety of activities, we should help each other in order to beat other teams and win a victory. To illustrate, many sports such as soccer, basketball, and football needs a great cooperation to score more than other teams do. In football, players need to pass the ball in a right direction, give proper signals each other, and move together as one. Through this process, players can build up interpersonal trust among them, and establish feelings of cooperation.
To sum up, I firmly believe that playing games is very beneficial for people. The reasoning behind this includes its positive aspects of education, life, and sociality. Throughout history, our ancestors also enjoyed playing games and sports. All in all, games are a part of our daily lives, which reflect the way of life.
