Every people has their preferred fashion to research data from between tangible materials and the Internet. In my opinion, the Internet can bring us enormous benefits compared with printed documents. I feel this way for two reasons, which I will explore in the following essay.
First of all, the aspect of quality, quantity, and distribution speed of online data is overwhelmed to offline contents. In the past, many people visited local libraries or bought books to get information, but these days they can retrieve what they want to efficiently and swiftly using the Internet. What I mean is that since the Internet was invented, data in the world has been gradually merged into online. Therefore, plenty of, accumulated and up-to-date data can be located on websites. Everyone in the world can access the latest researched paper through the research relevant websites and conveniently read thesis papers.
Secondly, the impact of collective information is of significance on the Internet. A little number of people who has a specialty in their domain usually write books, but after the emergence of the Internet, anyone can write or edit online documents. It makes prominent results in our life. For example, people in the world contribute to add contents into Wikipedia. There is a variety of information such as scientific topics, political issues, the lifestyle of celebrities and so on. These contents cannot be maintained by a few people because the data are live and changeable anytime. The contents of Wikipedia has been rapidly increased and widely used for retrieving information.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that online data is the most powerful tool for researching rather than offline data because the aspect of quality, quantity, and distribution speed of online contents can overwhelm offline data and the impact of collective information is significant online. |
