However, people’s intellectual, social, and personal development is highly influenced by having relationship with old friends. With this understanding, I believe that it is more important to keep your old friends than it is to make new friends for the following subsequence reasons.
First, keeping old friends enables people to relieve stress. Understanding environment of people and the potential role of old friends is necessary to substantiate this view. For example, every morning, people have to patiently sit through traffic to get to work. Once they are at work, they have to endure countless documents and continue to read more even more at home. Such exhausting routine repeats itself and eventually wears down people. Nowadays, it is more difficult to make new friends than to keep people’s old friends, because people have to work and take a rest. So they do not have enough time to make new friends. However, old friends know about sincere mind of people. Thus, by staying with old friends, people can relieve stress as a way to manage the ensuing stress.
Second, keeping old friends enables people to enjoy a better quality of life. In response to the increasing role of old friends, many experts opinions research statistics reinforce the idea that keeping old friends enables people to learn various experiences. For example, since people lack enough experience, they are likely to consider following the wrong paths like their mistake, especially when they are in trouble. However, If people keep their old friends, they can learn how to fix moral standard and match the societal values they learned about to real-life circumstances by having a time with old friends like counseling about their trouble. Can people inform to new friends about personal trouble? I totally say ‘no’, because they do not know each other enough to have relationship. Through such guidance, they can resist the temptation of following wrong paths and thus grow up as good citizen, which encourage them to ultimately enjoy a better quality of life.
To sum up, I believe that it is more important to keep old friends than it is to make new friends for following the reasons: to relieve stress and enjoy a better quality of life. Consequently, the importance of my view cannot be underestimated for the reasons I have stated above.
