There are some people who believe that successful people take risks and try new things rather than doing what they already know. However, I disagree with the above idea for the following two reasons. First, people who succeed are able to anticipate what can be happen when they take actions. Second, people never know how many chances they left to be successful.
First of all, successful people know what is going to happen when they take actions. Most of all people who succeed study past failures and techniques to over come difficulties as well as past succeed stories. They can foresee their future when they make decisions based on what they learned. They do not have to take risks and try new things to be successful. The recent study research conducted by The Business Institute clearly shows people who succeed are likely to anticipate what will happen when they make choices. The researchers made the subjects ,who earned 100 million dollars in a month by their jobs, to tell the researchers when they decide something and what is the overcome they imagine. 88 percent of the subjects thought as the consequences of their choice was correct. This is because the subjects studied techniques, failures and succeed stories of business in the past. Most of them said they take actions based on what they learned and succeed in safer way rather than take risks.
Moreover, the number of chances to be successful is uncertain. Some people might only have one or two chance in their life to succeed. No one knows when is their one last chance. It is a waste to take a risk for that one last chance and not to succeed forever. Let me bring up my brother's experience. My brother graduated Waseda university which is the prestige college in Japan. He was asked to be an assistant of biology professor in Waseda university. His dream was to be biology professor in Waseda university so it was good chance for him. However, he also wanted to take a long vacation from studying so he refused it. He thought he would still have opportunity to be the professor after his vacation. Unfortunately, that was his one last chance and he is not the biology professor today. If he did not take a risk and chose to be the assistant, he could have become for what he had been dreaming.
In this regard, successful people can foresee their future when they make a decision and people never know how many chances they have to be successful. In conclusion, I think successful people only do what they know how to do well.
