I think
it is very debatable. This is because topics concerning this issues can
be different relying on individual perspectives. In my opinion, however, I
support that having a positive attitude is the best method to keep in shape for
the following reasons.
First of
all, having a positive attitude is far easier than the others since it does not
have to spend a particular time and money. Practically the main reason why many
people hardly get their health better is that they believe particular
activities-swimming, climbing, sleeping enough and so on-are required to make
their health better. And all these things need much time or money. If people
realize there is a better way without using much time and money, they promptly
carry out it and can reach the goal to be healthier. For example, there was a
poll by the Korean EAP, (Employee Assistance Program) with current employees as
respondents. The purpose of this survey is to find out the reason why these days
employees do not try to get healthier. What they found was so intriguing. tThe majority of respondents said that time and money
is the largest factor that they do not make an effort for their health. The
reason was mainly concerned with the thought that in order to be healthy, they
must spend their much time and money. Therefore having a positive attitude can
be a good solution in this situation since it does not
require much time and money to be spent.
On top of
that, in these days the most essential factor in keeping healthy is not a
physical element but a mental one. To explain, it is generally reported that
the fundamental reason of all modern diseases is the stress. Tthe accumulation of it brings up a wide
variety of illness such as insomnia, sudden heart attack, disorder in immunity
and so on. And what we have to realize is the fact that the stress is mainly
related to the mental process. In other words if we cannot deal with our mind
not body, this problem will not be able to be solved. For instance, my
friend who was a member of Samsung had a hard
time to adapt to work. His task was so heavy and also he had a trouble hanging
out with his boss and coworkers. This situation
was very stressful to him. And this severe stress made his health get worse
over and over. In order to overcome this problem, he tried to do several
methods like exercising, sleeping adequately, taking days off and so on. But
these attempts were totally useless. After all he had to be admitted to
hospital. In the meantime he read a book that had a great impact on his life.
The title of the book was "thinking positively". After finishing this
book, he continuously strived to have a positive attitude. And six months
later, his health got totally recovered. Thanks
to the positive attitude, now he has a robust body and lives a vigorous life.
All
things considered, it is my belief that my opinion has been efficiently
delivered with reasons mentioned above. Never should we forget that it has a
great impact on our future.
