▶ Your Answer :
I agree to the fact that cars have made
greater impact on society than airplanes. It is true that both transportations
have made big impact on the modern society. However, cars influenced the
society much more. Thanks to cars people nowadays can move to much farther
places in a much shorter time than before. Furthermore, cars play a core role
in planning cities. Moreover, while airplanes still stay to be a transportation
for a chosen few, a greater majority of the society can own cars.
Of
course, air planes played a crucial role in connecting cities all around the
world, it is hard to admit that they even made each members of the society
become closer. It is all thanks to cars that made a more convenient everyday
life. People don’t need to move around such long distance in their daily lives
and cars are just the apt transportation to the members that make up a society.
For example, we need our own cars to hang out with a friend or go out with our
family, not an airplane that takes you thousands of miles away.
The
second reason cars made a greater impact on society than airplanes is that cars
are the most important factor to think of in urban planning. The roads which
cars will run on are the framework of the plan. Planning on how and where to
construct buildings of the city comes afterwards. Society is consisted of individual
members whether it is an urban area or a rural area, they live on land which must
be connected by cars. Moreover, while planes remain as a transportation of
relatively rich people who can afford the cost of the ticket, cars became an
essential transportation to all members of the society. So, it can be said that
cars influenced a greater majority of the people in the society.
In
conclusion, even though many people might think airplanes made a greater impact
on society than cars, I think it is the opposite because cars enhanced the accessibility
between the members of the society, it is the fundamental of cities, and the
number of people who are directly influenced by it is much greater than
airplanes. |
