The consensus view seems to be that it is effective for companies to paying their worker's tution fee to foaster their abilities and skills. However, I disagree with them for two reasons concerning the fact that they cannot afford all of money and working people is too busy to cope with their performances.
To begin with, paying tution fee for their employees is not affordable for companies. It is ovbious that the amount of company's capital is limited, it would encouter difficulties to support expensive tution fee for workers. Moreover, the tution prices are more increasing each year significantly. A study conducted by Amy rogan, the professor of New york University in 2008 illustraites this point. Charging tution fee and extra spends for their staffs caused difficult problems for running them selves, so they were likely to reduce working people's revenue and to remove the cafeteria for company. Even worse, because of rising tution fee of school, their situations had aggravated gradually. In this point, supporting the tution fee is hard for companies's economic conditions.
On top of that, the workers cannot manage their work effectively if they are attending school during their working times. It is an undeniable fact that doing their work tasks and studying performances such as submitting hard- level assignment, preparing difficult presentations simultaneously is tough for them. For example, my old friend Joe was working a in design company which covered her master digree's payment. However, she was getting busy for her desing works for company, could not study and prepare for her exam in school. As a result, her grades were not good than before she got hired in her company. This leads to it is not easy to manage two important things at the same time.
In this regard, I firmly believe that the company should not support their staff's tution fee for reasons that I mentioned above. |
