▶ Your Answer :
Who was the most important person in your life
when you were a teenager? I assume that many people would think of his or her best
friend. For teenagers, their friends impact each other more than anyone else in
their life. This is because teenagers spend most of their time at school with friends
and they tend to consider friendship as the most important factor in their lives.
To
begin with, most teenagers spend their time at school with their friends. They
attend school in the morning, take classes, have lunch, and chat with their friends.
Even after school, teenagers usually don’t go straight back to school, rather
they hang out or study with their friends. Moreover, there are some students who
go to school dorm and spend whole day with their friends. In my case, I studied
in a high school with dormitory, and only visited home once a week. Therefore,
I studied, slept, ate, exercised, and even took shower with my friends. Since I
stayed with them whole day, many of their actions influenced me. My first roommate
was a very neat person while I wasn’t. Using the room with her throughout the
semester changed me to clean often and organize my belongings neatly, while my
mother failed to change me for more than 10 years.
On
top of that, teenagers tend to be sensitive to friendship and consider friendship
as the most important value in their life. This is because the teenagers usually
long to be affiliated to a group of friends and be recognized by their peers. They
often strive to be recognized by their friends rather than their parents or
teachers. For instance, one of my friends attended an Art College despite the
opposition of their parents and teachers because many of his friends supported his
music and praised him. Since he put friendship as the major value in his life, he
decided to believe in his friends’ comment and attended an Art College.
To
sum up, friends are very important beings that change teenagers’ whole life. The
teenagers grow together at school and consider each other as the most important
beings in the world. The relationships might change as the time passes, but the
impacts that their friends made on teenagers last forever. In this regard, I firmly
believe that the teenagers are influenced more by their friends than anyone
else. |
